BOARD OF 13OUNTY COMMISSIONERS WAS'HINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLvANIA
FRANC IS E. PETTIT, W.J. LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, the Act of Congress, as amended, required certain assurances and coopera-
tion from the County of Washington with respect to various flood control projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County of Washington pledges such
tion as may be required or necessary to carry out the work proposed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County of Washington execute assurances to the
Secretary of the Army that it will;
(a) Frovide without cost to the United States all lands, easements
and right-of-ways necessary for the construction of the proposed
flood control project on Raccoon Creek in Smith Township from
Cherry Valley in said Smith Township to Burgettstown Borough,
Washington County, Pennsylvania.
(b) Hold and save the United States free from damages due to the
construction works; and
(c) Maintain and operate all the works after completion in accordance
with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of the Army.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County of Washington, a municipal
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, hereby assures the Secretary of the Army that it will;

ballets and election supplies required for the conduct of the Municipal Election be be held
