FRANCIS E. PETTIT, W. J. LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS
(Three thousand three hundred fifty eight dollars and thirty one cents); this being the only and
lowest responsible bid received.
Motion carried unanimously with Mr. Elish leaving the meeting.
The following regular business was conducted.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Colin Swingle be appointed as an
Assistant Engineer at the Courthouse, this action being,retroactive to August 16, 1957.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to comes before the Board at this time., the meeti

Motion by Mr. bane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Resolution No. 481, dated August
22, 1957, adopted by Washington County and Washington County Institution District be rescinded.
Resolution No. 481 covers property situate in Independence Township, Washington County, Pennsyl-
vania, formerly owned by Thomas Twyanan and described as Garage, adjoining the Pittsburgh Termin
Coal Corporation, bidder for this property is Leroy S. Gibson. The request to rescind this
resolution comes from the Tax Clam Bureau, due to the fact that the bid is being withdrawn,
reason being there is no surface to the above described property and only a garage in existence.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following resolution on the
approval of the project for flood control on the North Fork of Pigeon Creek in Bentleyville
