LANE, JOHN MAZZA, C0mmisaiw4KPs 195 17 n NO. 171 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., November 7, 1957 Board of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Commi Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the hangar rent at the Washington County Airport be increased $10.00 per month; this action to be effective December 1, 1957. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. j`azza, that the estimate submitted by R. C. NODE & BROTHERS, 705 Walbridge Street, Pittsburgh 20, Pa., for the cleaning of the dome windows and repainting of the George Washington statue be accepted in the total amount of $200.00, Wash- ington CouniV to furnish the material for the painting of said statue. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the estimate submitted by R. C. NOLTE & BROTHERS, 705 Walbridge Street, Pittsburgh 20, Pennsylvania for the painting of the exterior lights on the Courthouse be accepted in the total amount of $120.00. Washington County to furnish the material for the painting of said lights. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. "azza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $72.80 be made payable to John P. Liekar, Esq., due to a duplicate assessment of Water Develop- ment Company c/o Herbert Johnson. The records of the Tait Assessment Office shows that the assessment of Water Development Company situate in Peters Township is a duplicate assessment with that of James Fife for the years 1952, 1953, 1954,, 1955 and 1956. Mr. Fife has been paying taxes on this assessment as he holds the mortgage for the Water Development Co., For the tax year of 1958 the property will be assessed to owner on record as -follows: Water Development Co. c/o Herbert Johnson Glarksburg, West Va. 10.56 acres surface Unseated Land DB 569 - 330 Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $72.80 made payable to John P. Liekar, Esq. Motion carried unanimously.' Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Ma,aza, that the following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, S ate of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars as a temporary 1©an, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board, to -wit: "Whereas, it has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of muting current expenses for the yogi, 1957, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenue which have been assessed and have been levies and to be collected -by the County during the year 1957; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washingt® that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by tha;,payable out of taxes which have been levied and to be collected during the year 1957, and so much of st d'taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan with interest, is hereby set aside and designatedifor`'that purpose, and issue a note therefor payable December 31, 1957, with interest from date of said note at the rate of two per cent (2%) per annum, free of all taxes levied by Commonwealth of Pennsylvani#.,'vTwhich said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay said Nate to be negotiated and issued as follows:
