Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being
Pettit and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the Board of County,
of the County of Washington, renew note for 200,000.00 as a temporary loan dated November 12,
1957, as follows:
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of
Washington, State of Pennsylvania, -,relative to the issue by the said County of a Nate for Two
Hundred Thousand. ($200,000,00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded ;anA
adopted by the said Board, to vit:
"WEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the stun of Two Hundred
Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1958,
and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and have been
levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1958; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said county of Washing-
ton that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the' County,
the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tempors
ry loam on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have been levied
and to be collected during the year 1958, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay
said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note
therefore, payable August 4, 1958, with interest from date of said note at the rate of two per
cent (2%) per annum, free of all taxes levied by Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes
the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as
follows:
PEDPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY, WASHINGTON, PA .......... .......$200,000.00."

Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County Controller be
ed to advertise for a policy of insurance for Public Liability within the limits of $20,0„00
to $100,000.00 and Property Damage not to exceed $5..000.00 for each accident in a reliable and
approved stock company, protecting the County of Washington against liability imposed by law
upon them for damage an account of personal injuries, including death accidentally suffered by
any persons ( excepting employees) caused by or resulting from the existence of repairing, and/or
maintenance of the various buildings, properties and operations of the County, including 149
bridges and approaches, and protecting the County of Washington against property damage imposed
by law upon them -for the amount not to exceed $5,000.00 for each accident. Bids to be received
by the County Controller, in his office in the Courthouse, Washington, Pennsylvania, until 11:00
A.M., Eastern Standard Time, Tuesday, January 21, 1958, and opened immediately thereafter in the
Office of the County Commissioners.
