Lotion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Charles B. Bush, be appointed as a Field Crew Worker in the Tax Assessment Office, this action to be retroactive to February 16, 1958. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following resolution creating a Greater Canonsburg Regional Planning Coimni.ssion be adopted. RESOLUTION NO. 192 111HF1MS, the Regional Planning Lax, Act No. 611, approved the 29th day of May, 1956, as now or hereafter amended, authorizes the association together of municipalities (i.e. counties, cities, boroughs, townships lst class and townships 2nd class)in the creation of a Regional Planning Commission for any region defined, as may be agreed upon by said co-operating municipalities; and *MEFAS, the governing body of Washington County recognize the necessity for regional planning in the Greater Canonsburg Area; and M1EREAS, the governing body of Washington County has reviewed the organization plan including an outline of the Regional Planning Program, names of member municipalities, an annual budget with costs to member municipalities, and a form of ARTICLES OF AGRERKM setting forth the terms and conditions under which the municipalities may join in the creation of a Regional Planning Commission to be known as the "GRCA.TER CANONSBURG RIMIONI#LL PLANNING CONUSION", Washington County, Pennsylvania. NOW, THEREFERE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and obligations as con- tained in the articles of Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commissioners that the County of Washington does hereby: (1) Join and associate in the creation of a Regional Planning Commission to be known as the "Greater Canonsburg Regional Planning Commission" in conformity with the Regional Flaming Law, Act No. 611, approved the 29th day of May, 1956, as now or hereafter amended. (2) Appropriate public funds for operation of the Regional Planning Commission in the anal amount of $1.400.00 for 1958, and $1.4m.00 for 1959, iahidh sahll be the cost to Washington County for the expenses required to operate said Regional Planning Commission. (3) Appoint the following named person to act as the official represent- ative of Washington County on said Regional Planning Commission: KM OF PERSON TERM OF OFFICE Keery McAmbley 2 years (4) Authorizes Francis F. Pettit, as Chairman of the Commissioners of Washington County, to execute the Articles of Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and direct the Secretary to duly attest the signature and plaice the corporate seal there- on and forward a copy of this resolution to the acting secretary of the Regional Planning CoTAr mission. 1 0 1 (5) Hereby authorizes the Greater Canonsburg Regional Planning Commission, Wash- ington County, Pennsylvania, to receive and expend Federal, State and other funds from private
