Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Fifty Thousand ($150,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, Was presented, duly seconded and adapted by the said Board, to -wit: 'WEREAS, it has become necessary for said Board to barrow the sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand ($150,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1958, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and have been levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1958, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Wash- ington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tempo- rary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have been levier and to be collected during the year 1958, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefore, payable August 4, 1958, with interest from date of said note at the rate of two (2%) per cent per annum, free of all taxes levied by Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said Note to be negotiated and issued as follows: PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY, WASHINGTON, PA ...................$150,000.00 Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Pettit and Lane. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that L. J. Johnan, who resides at r 211 Liberty Street, McDonald, Pennsylvania, be appointed as Assessor of McDonald Borough to fill the vacancy which now exists by the resignation of Margaret E. Brockemyer. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that William L. Livingood, who resides at 31 West Pike Street, Houston, Pennsylvania, be appointed as Assessor of Houston Borough to the vacancy which now exists by the resignation of Oscar Frantz. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of $17.05 be made payable to W. L. Jenkins, 300 Belmont Avenue, Canon:aburg, Pennsylvania, tax paid
