Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher In the amount of $11.02 be made payable to P. J. Blythe, M.D., 539 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, Penna., having filed and paid tag on 100 shares of Curtis -Wright Corporation for the year 1956. Reason for refund is due to an error in the stock reference books showing that the above stock was taxed, information has now been received showing that the said company paid a Franchise Tax in 1956 therefore, the holder of its stock would not be subject to the Pennsylvania Personal Pro- perty Tax on January 1, 1956. Therefore, the Personal Property Department of the Taos Assessment Office, is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $11.02, Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Treasurer is hereby authorized to cancel the Treasurer's Tax Sales of April 24, 1940 for the 1931 County Tax and the 1932-1933-1934 County, School and Road Taxes, plus sale costs for t he property assessed to Daniel Zabron and described as V. Lot No. 31, Block 75, Meldon Avenue, Union Improvement Co. Plan, P. B. Volume 2, P. 124-125,situate in the Borough of Donora, Washington County, Pennsyl- vania. In as much as, this property was sold by the Union Improvement Company to Daniel Zabron on October 14, 1903, as recorded in Deed Book, Volume 317, Page 94. This property was then sold for taxes on June 12, 1928 by the County Treasurer to Clyde T. Lewis by deed recorded in Deed Book 572, page 107. The Tax Assessment records have never been changed, therefore, the assessments to Daniel Zabron, for the years 1931 through 1934 are improper assessments. Therefore, the tax sale should be void and cancelled. The Tax Claim Bureau, the Assessment Office and the Office of the Prothonotary are hereby directed to mark their records accordingly. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the proposal of the Penn Line Service Inc. and Forest Construction Company, to prepare lime, fertilizer, disk, and seed that 1 area at the Washington County Airport which is not included in the Federal Aid Program for the total sum of $467.00 be accepted and the contractor be authorized to proceed with the work.
