PETTI ,'A a Tr, A'ZZA, CommisslomERs 1 [1 NO. 226 Office of the County Comzi.ssioners Washington, Pa., July 17, 1958 Board of County Commissioners in special session, those,.present being: Commis- sioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza, Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for the printing and delivering to the Election Department of the County Commissioners the necessary ballots and election supplies required for the conduct of the General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 1958, and the delivering of ballot bones with electio supplies to the Judges of Election for the one hundred eighty-eight (188) precincts of Washington County. Bids to be received by the County Controller, in his Office in the Courthouse, Washingts Pennsylvania, until 11:00 o'clock A.M., Eastern Standard Time, Friday, August 8, 1958, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners. adjourned. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 21, 1958 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Pettit, Cummins and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, and passed, that the sum of $1.5,500.00 be specifically allocated and made available out of the budget appropriation "Airport" as the County's share in the construction of the administration building at the Washington County Airport; and Francis E. Pettit, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, is hereby author to execute the Agreement between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania acting through the Department of Military Affairs, with reference to the Commonwealth's share of the construction costs. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the adjourned. Anthony Yanketis, formerly owned by Albert and Virginia Costello, situate in Peters Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania. $439.24 Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that a refund voucher in the amount of $4,55 be made payable to Mrs. Thelma Fayer, Donora Place Plan, Donora, Pennsylvania, due to an over -payment on 1958 County Tax, On June 10, 1958, Mrs. Payer made a payment of $11. on property assessed in the name of Stephen and Thelma Payer, described as Foundation, Garage, Lots 289-290-291, DB 933-616 Donora Place Plan, situate in Carroll Township., At a later date, the garage which was assessed at $300.00 was razed and removed by tax adjustment, reducing the tax to read as follows:. $7.01 tax at face; $.35 5% discount; $6.66 net tax to be paid; thus making a refund of $4.55 due Mrs. Payer. Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau, is authorized to pre- pare said refund voucher in the amount of $4.55, made paytble to Mrs. Thelma Fayer, Donora Place Plan, Donora, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that a refund voucher in the amount of $4.85 be made payable to Agnes L. Campbell, 805 Chestnut Street, Donora, Pennsylvania, due to an over -payment on 1958 County Tax, On June 11, 1958, Agnes L. Campbell. paid $21.81 on property assessed in her name, described as 2 story concrete house, Lot 146, Blk US, situate in Donora.Borough. At a later date, by tax adjustment No. 091, the valuation of the house was reduced from $1200.00 to 800.00, making the tax to read as follows: $17.85 tax at face; $989 5% discount; $16.96 net tax to be paid; thus making a refund of $4.85 due Agnes L. Campbell. Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau, is authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of I $4.85, made payable to Agnes L. Campbell, 805 Chestmt Street, Donora, Pennsylvania. On August 7, 1957, the Peoples First National Bank and Trust Compan of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, paid $77.78 on property assessed in the name of John R. Boyce, Estate, Bridgeville, Pennsylvania (R.D.2, Avella, Pennsylvania) described as house and 2 barns, 264 acres surface adjoining Cross Creek Water Company, situate in Cross Creek Township. Payment was duplicated on August 23, 1957, when John Boyce again paid the amount of $77.78 on the above described property. Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau, is authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $77.78, made payable to John Boyce, R. D. 2, Avella, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that a refund voucher in the'amount of $1.277 be made payable to W. A. Clarke Mortgage Co., 1518 Walnut Street, Philadelphia 2, Penn- sylvarxi.a, due to an over -payment on 1957 County Tax. On August 17, 1957, the W. A. Clarke Mortgage Co. paid taxes in the amount of $45,90 on property assessed in the name of Orville E. and Betty L. Ednes, described ash room brick stone house, Lot 9, 200 x 110 DB 949-185 McMurray Plan, situate in Peters Township. The correct amount of tax due being $44.63 instead of $45.9%, therefore causing an over -payment of $1.27. Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau, is authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $1.27,-made payable to W;,.A. Clarke Mortgage Co., 1518 Walnut Street, Philadelphia 2, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that a refund voucher in the amount of $9.41 be made payable to L. R. Kinder, 207 Arlington Avenue, Mapleview, Charleroi, Pennsyl- vania, due to duplicate payment of occupation taxes for the years 1954 through 1957. For the years 1954 through 1957, Mr. and Mrs. Kinder were assessed with occupation tax in both Charleroi and Speers Boroughs, they actually reside in Speers and should only pay taxes and be assessed with occupation in that borough. Taxes were paid on both assessments which caused a duplicate payment in the amount of $9.41. Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau, is authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $9.41., made payable to L. R. Kinder, 207 Arlington Avenue, Maple - view, Charleroi, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that a refund voucher in the amount of $4.51 be made payable to Wm. J. Tarabrella, R. D. 2,, Box 674, Dry Run Road, Monongahela, Penn- sylvania, due to duplicate payment of occupation taxes for the years of 1956 and 1957. For the years of 1956 and 1957 William J. and Ywry C. Tarabrella were assessed with occupation tax in both the City of Monongahela and the Township of Carroll, they actually reside in Monongahela 3rd Ward, and should only pay taxes and be assessed with occupation tax in Monongahela City. Taxes were paid on both assessments which caused a duplicate payment in the amount of $4.51. Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $4.51, made payable to Wm. J. Tarabrella, R. D. 2, Box 674, Dry dun ;lead, Monongahela, Pennsylvan Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Resolution ing Mr. J. G. Kassab's resignation as Executive Director of both the Industrial Development and Redevelopment Authorities be adopted. RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED, that the -resignation -of J.-G.
