COMMISSIONERS NO. 233 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., August 6, 1958 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Pettit, Cummins and Mazza. After some discussion in regards to the salary structure and job duties to the County of Washington, motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following resolution as prepared by Mr. Mazza be adopted: R E S O L U T I O N In view of the financial problems facing the County, I would like to introduce a resolution requesting the Washington County Branch of the Pennsylvania Economy League to c a preliminary survey of administrative organization and management of Washington County. This survey is to include a classification study of all positions for which the Salary Board salaries as well as the following: 1. Review of existing administrative structure. 2. Analysis of work procedures and the practicability of adopting machine methods to such processes. 3. Analysis of work space layout. 4. Analysis of personnel needs. 5. Preparation of classification and pay plans and pertinent personnel rules. The Pennsylvania Economy League will have the full cooperation of the County Com- missioners. The Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all recommendations which might result from the survey. Motion carried unanimously. After an inspection of Chartiers Creek at Midland had been made by Mr. Cummins and Mr. Mazza, it was their recommendation that some work should be done at this point to allevi- ate flooding. After some discussion on this subject motion was made by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that some temporary work be done on Charties Creek at Midland but, only after a meeting has been arranged with the Chartiers Township Supervisors and an Agreement is entered into between said supervisors and the County Commissioners, that they will correct certain con- ditions at this point in regards to the dumping of rubbish, garbage, etc., into said creek which is causing an obstruction to the natural flow of Chartiers Creek. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following resolutions in regards to the sale of properties for unpaid taxes by the Washington County Tax Claim Bureau be adopted. RESOLUTION NO.
