(Address) Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the bids be tabled in order that they may be tabulated and contracts awarded at a later date. Motion carried and Mr. Elish left the meeting at this time. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr, Mazza, that the County Controller be author;.- ized to advertise for bids for the furnishing and delivering of Tax Assessment Supplies for the year 1959, to be used by the Washington County Tau Assessment Office; said bids to be received by the County Controller in his Office in the Courthouse, Washington, Pennsylvania, until 11.:00 A.M., Daylight Savings Time, Wednesday, September 3, 1958, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the Tax Claim Bureau be author- ized to prepare a refund voucher in the amount of $3.94 to be made payable to R. C. Pryor, R.U. 1, Marianna, Pennsylvania, due to a double assessment. In September of 1955, George Phillips and Anna Phillips, his wife, conveyed a tract of land containing approximately 54 acres to R. C. Pryor R. D. 1, Marianna, -Pennsylvania. Deed recorded in Deed Book Vo1.942, page 17L There was no change made on the Assessment Book for the year 1956. In the year 1957 there was assessed to R. C. Pryor a "parcel of ground" at the assessed value of 325.00 and the conveyance of Mr. and Mrs. Phillips was referred to on the tact card. For the year 1957 there was no change made in the items of property assessed to Mr. and Mrs. Phillips. An examination of the records shows that Mr. Pryor paid the sum of $3.94 on the above mentioned parcel of land and Mr. Phillips also paid the County Tax in the sum of $14.24 on the same parcel of land, due to the fact,that it continued to be assessed in his name. In view of this double assessment, the Tax Claim Bureau is suthoriz to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $3 ,A made payable to R. C. Pryor, R. D. 1, Marianna, Pennsylvania. Motion carried.
