There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPIVVED: Octo er 8, 1958 ATTESTr" CHIEF -CLERK �f ,• ; NO. 242 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., September 19, 1958 Board of County Commissioners in regular session for the purpose of awarding the contract for the Appraisal Work to be done in Washington County through the Tax Assessment Office, those present being Commissioners Pettit$ Cummins, Mazza and Solicitor Frank J. Docktor. Solicitor Docktor, recommended that the contract be awarded to the Western Pennsylvania Research Associates, Inc., 3015 Grant Bulding, Pittsburgh 19, Pennsylvania, being the lowest responsible bidder and the contract to include the specifications as advertised, also to eliminate the assessment of minerals which will reduce the bid price from 302,500.00 to $290,500.00 a reduction of 12,000.00. Solicitor Docktor, stated that upon the completion of the coal maps the coal appraisal work could be done by the Washington County Commissioners. Therefore, upon the recommendation of the County Solicitor, the following motion was made by Mr. Cummins,seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Western Pennsylvania Research Associates, Inc., 3015 Grant Building, Pittsburgh 19, Pennsylvania,be awarded the contract for the appraisal work to be done in Washington County, being the lowest responsible bidder in the total amount of $290p 00.0 eliminating the appraisal of minerals, subject to the approval of the contract, which will inc the specifications as advertised and changing the date of completion from December 31, 1959 to January 31, 1960. This award being subject to the execution of a written contract. Motion carried unanimously, Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the following Resolution on Housing and Home Finance Agency which administers Regional Planning Applications for Federal Matching Funds be adopted: R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Regional Planning Law, Act No. 611, approved the 29th day of May, 1956, as now or hereafter amended, authorizes the association of municipalities, (i.e. counties, cities, townships first class and townships second class, and boroughs) in the creation of a Regional Planning Oommission, as may be agreed upon by said cooperating municipalities; and WHEREAS, the urban region of the City of Washington and the Borough of East Washington and the Townships of Canton, South Strabane and North Franklin have joined together and formed a Regional Planning Commission acid are undertaking a planning program to redevelop
