Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Commis
Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr, Mazza, that the STATE LINE COAL COMPANY,
Box B, Avella, Pennsylvania, be awarded the coal contract for the 1958-1959 season to furnish
coal to heat the Courthouse and County Jail in accordance with specifications and according to
the following bid prices; this being the lowest bid received.
$7.25 per ton including delivery
$5.25 per ton without delivery
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that due to the emergency which
now exists at the boiler room the following quotation as submitted by Industrial Electric of
Washington, Inc., 48 Woodland Avenue, Washington, Pennsylvania, be accepted in the total amount
of $889.00 for the repairing of three 30 HP. DC fan motors and one MG set, which are located in
the boiler room at the county jail,
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount
of $14.03 be made payable to Anna Pescho, Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, due to a duplicate payment
of 1958 County Tax. On August 18, 1958, the amount of $14.03 was paid by Anna Pescho, on propert
assessed in the name of Pescho, Anna and described as follows: 2 Story frame house, 1,15 acre
West Side Dinsmore Avenue, DB 949-197 situate in Burgettstown Borough. On August 23, 1958, Anna
Pescho, again paid the amount of $14.03 on said described property which caused this duplicate
payment. Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau, is authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the
amount of $14.03, made payable to Anna Pescho, Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount
of $18.18, be made payable to Walter C. Shenk, R. D. 2, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, due to tax
adjustment reducing the amount of tax payable, On July 28, 1958, the amount of $66.63 was paid
by Walter C. & Dorothy Shenk, on property assessed in the name of Shenk, Walter C. & Dorothy,
described as 8 room brick house unfinished, 1.070 acres surface DB 9h4-459 Algeo-Holleran,

situate in Peters Township. The tax on this property was reduced by tax adjustment no. 548,
