PETTI �yy A�piA,pc •IV N AZZA, COMMISSIONERS MONONGAHELA PU.LI.VING GO Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present; being Commissioners Pettit, Cummins and Mazza. Motion by Air. Mazza, seconded by Mr, Cummins, that the following Resolution requesting an investigation and study to be made of the traffic conditions on a certain stretch of U. B. Highway Route 19 be adopted. BE IT RESOLVED: That the Pennsylvania Department of Highways be and it is urgently requested to make an immediate investigation and study of traffic conditions on that stretch of U. S. Highway Route 19 between Washington and Canonsburg, Washington County, known as "Quail Hill", where numerous serious traffic accidents have recently occurred, for the purpose of finding means of alleviating the dangerous conditions there existing, by the use of speed limits, police patrol,, warnings, signals, traffic controls or otherwise. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Yx. Mazza, that, the following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for Two Hundred Thousand. ($2W*000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board, to -wit: "WEM, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Two Hundred Thou- sand ($200,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1958, and to be payable out of taxes and other current reveres which have been assessed and have been levied and to be collected by the County during the year 1958; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the Gounty, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary loane on such terms as may be agreed upon by ther4 payable out of taxes which have been levied and to be collected during the year 1958, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loa%, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefore, payable December A. 1958, with interest from date of said note at the rate of two per cent (2%) per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said Note to be negotiated and issued as follows: PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AIM TRUST COMPAHr, WASHINGTON, PA ....................... 200, 000.00" Motion carried unanimously.
