Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit., that John.Karam be appointed as Assistant Draftsman in the Engineers Office, this action to be retroactive to January 15, 1959. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by'Mr. Pettit, that Eleanor Zenis, 600 Speers Ave.., Speers Hill, Speers Borough., be appointed as assessor of Speers Borough, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Alice C. Gillion. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Louis A. Johns., 281 Grant St.., Washington., Pa.., be appointed as assessor of Washington 4th Ward., to fill the vacancey created by the death of Walter Rettig. Motion carried. t Motion by Mr. Cummins., seconded by Mr. Pettit, that John Packrall., be appointed as Assistant to the Chief Assessor of the Tax Assessment Office., this action to be effective February 11 1959, Mr Packralls' duties will be to interview property owners who have filed complaints with said office., and upon investigating these complaints a recommendation will be made to the County Commissioners whether an adjustment is justified. Mr. Packrall will meet with local tax assessors and inform them of the new tax program. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Those present being Commissioners Pettit, Cummias, Mazza and Deputy Controller Marino. In accordance with aforementioned advertisement the following proposals were opened and read. February 2, 1959 Peter Elish., Controller and Washington County Commissioners Courthouse Washington, Pennsylvania Gentlemen: We respectfully submit the following quotation for Fleet Insurance for Public Liability, Property Damage, Comprehensive A.C.V., Fire, Theft and Collision coverage as per schedule of equipment attached hereto, to be written for a term of one (1) year effective at 12:01 a.m.., February 18., 1959.
