Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Steve Kurits, R.. D. 1, Hanlin Statio; r be appointed as Assessor of Hanover Township, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Clyde Wilson. Motion carried. Lotion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for the printing and delivering to the Office of the County Treasurer the necessary 1959 tag statements. Bids to be received by the County Controller in his Office in the Courthouse3, Washington, Pennsylvania, until 11:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, Monday.. March 16, 1959, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County stoners. Motion carried.. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Cummins.. that when county employees find it necessary to takecounty cars home, the cars shall be parked in front of their home, until the time for departure for work the following Ao=i.ng, unless an investigation =at be made after 4:00 P.M. In accordance With the above mentioned advertisement the following bids were opened and read. D. #4 Washington, Pennsylvania, be awarded the contract for the delivering of ballot boxes and election supplies to the one hundred eithty-eight (188) Election Precincts in the County for the Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, May 19, 1959, for t he sum of $700.00 (Seven hundred dollarrs); this being the lowest and only bid received. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the bids for the election supplies be referred to the County Solicitor, Frank J. Docktor, for a legal opinion and the contract be awarded at a later date. Motion carried unanimously. BE IT RESOLVED that the following Lease I# GS-02B 5895 between the Washington County Commissioners and the united States of America (Internal Revenue Office) be entered into, efJbctiw December 1, 19 0. The Washington County Commissioners hereby leases to the Government the folLow- ing-described premises; Approximately Two Thousand, One Hundred and Seven (2,107) square feet of net usable space, contained in Booms No. 1 and No. 2, of the first floor in the Washington County Annex, 76 West Cherry Avenue, Washington, Pennsylvania, to be usedftxclusively for the following purposes: Office quarters and uses incidental thereto, as described in lease, from January 1, 1959 and ending December 31, 1961.
