Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being Commissioners Pettit,
Cummins and. Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Isabelle Areal, be appointed as a
temporary cleaning woman at the Courthouse, replacing Vlasta Drapper; this action to be retroactivs
to March 16, 1959.

Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the following resolution for the
changing of existing widths; lines, and location of State Highway Route 798 (from certain sections)
all loccted in Buffalo, South Franklin, and North Franklin Townships, Washington County, be adopted:
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOEVID by the Commissioners of Washington County that the Plans submitted for
the changing of existing widths; lines, and location of State Highway Route 798 - Section 2:
from Station 559 + 82.00 to Station 758 + 50.00, located in Buffalo.. South Franklin, and North
Franklin Townships, Washington County; have been examined by the County Commissioners and they,
agree that Washington County will not assume liability for any property damages resulting from the
changing of the above named highway as contemplated by these Plans; or any damages arising out of
any changes or alteration of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenances of this High-
way; or any damages resulting to any property holdings of any Public Utility Company; nor will the
County assume any damages resulting to any coal or other minerals in and underlying the property
affected by this improvement; but that Washington County will contribute the sum of Five Thousand.
Eight Hundred ($5,800.00) Dollars; to be paid in two annual increments of Twenty -Nine: Hundred
Dollars ($2,900.00) each as follows:
$2,900,00 to be due and payable on or before July 1, 1960.
$2,900.00 to be due and payable on or before July 1, 1961.
The annual contributions of Washington County are to be made with the understanding that
payment will be due only upon certification from the Secretary of Highways that the installments
of 2,900.00 each year have been expended by the Department of Highways in the settlement of
property damages for the aforesaid improvement.

Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the proposal of Arleigh E. Cale, in
the amount of $619.78 for landscaping work at the Washington County Airport be accepted, subject
to the terms of a written contract prepared by the County Solicitor,
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.
