Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being Commissioners
Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Budget for the General Fund for
the County of Washington for the fiscal year 1959 be finally adopted by the County Commissioners;
the said Budget having been available for public inspection in the Office of the Chief Clerk to
the County Commissioners from March 11, 1959 to this date, in accordance with the provisions of
the Act of Assembly of July 18, 1935, and the rate of taxation upon the valuation of properties
of the County of Washington, in order to tax sufficient revenues to meet required expenditures
for the fiscal year 1959, be fixed at ten mills (10), which makes the payment of taxes in the
amount of one dollar (1.00) upon each $100 of assessed valuation of real estate and occupation.
Motion carried/unanimously.

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Josephine Regets, be appointed as a
Clerk in the Tax Claim Bureau replacing Carolyn McDonald; this action to be retroactive to April
7, 1959.

Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that William Stewart be appointed as
Bridge Inspector; this action to be retroactive to April 1, 1959, Mr. Stewart is a replacement.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in special session those present being Commissioners
Pettit, Cummins and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that due to the fact, that the 2 story
frame house of Frank A. and Helen Bialon situate in West Pike Ran Township, Washington County,
which was destroyed by fire on February 11, 1959; be it resolved, that the 1958 County and Insti-
tution District Taxes on said described property is hereby exonerated. And further, that the
assessed valuation of said property be fixed at $1000.00 for exoneration purposes.
