Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Andy Pagae, Clerk of the Department of Veterans' Affairs, be appointed as Director of said Department replacing Edward Bettinelli, this action being retroactive to June 1, 1959. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to corm before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. THE FO ING MINUTE READ AND APPBVED: June , 959 ATTEST : CH CLERK NO. 30 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., June 5, 1959 Board of County Commissioners met in special session at 11:10 a.m., for the purpose of opening bids for the necessary materials required for the preparation of the site of a "T" Type Plane Hangar and the Apron Areas adjacent to same at the Washington County Airport, those present being Commissioners Pettit, Mazza and Deputy Controller Marino. In accordance with aforementioned advertisement the following proposals were opened and. read. TO: THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Of Washington County, in the State of Pennsylvania. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the motion accepting the bid of Jefferson Coal and Construction Corporation, be recinded for the reason, that now it being made to appear that a fourth proposal of Frank Gavlik was delivered at 10:00 a.m., to Alexia Jones, employee of the Commissioners, who placed said sealed proposal on the desk of Francis E. Pettit, County Commissioner, where it remained until 11:20 a.m., after the bids were received and opened, this was verified by said Alexia Jones, to the complete satisfaction of the Commissioners and Deputy Controller.
