Therefore, it was moved and seconded that the bid of FRANK GAVLIK, 114 Piersol Avenue, Bentleyvilla,
Pennsylvania, be accepted and the contract awarded to him in the amount of $8,656.50, said bid
being the lowest responsible bid received. Contract being awarded subject to the approval of the
County Engineer and subject to the execution of a written contract.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Washington, Pa., June 11, 1959
Board of County Commissioners met in special session at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., for the
purpose of opening bids for Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance. Those present at
the meeting being: Commissioners Cummins, Mazza and Deputy Controller Marino.
In accordance with aforesaid advertisement the following proposal was opened and read.

Gentlemen:
We respectfully submit the following quotation for Public Liability Insurance and
Property Damage Insurance (Limits of Liability $20,000.00 each person; $100.9000.00 each accident)
(limits of Property Damage $5,000.00 for each accident) as per schedule "A" attached hereto, for
terms of one (1) year or three (3) years effective at 12:01 a.m., June 23, 1959.
For term of one (1) year:
Premium for Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance is
$2,060.60
For term of three (3) ,years:
Premium for Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance is
f5,563.62
To be place with the following company:
Zurich Insurance Company
The Washington County Commissioners reserve the right to award the above referred to
insurance for the term of one (1) year or three (3) years. `
The Bidder must write Inssurance in an approved Stock Company.
Certified check in the amount of $100.00, made payable to the Washington County Com-
missioners, is enclosed as evidence that bidder will accept same and carry out the conditions of
the contract in case of award.

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that this proposal, only one received,
be tabled until Gene Amannati, Insurance Broker for the County, can examine said proposal and
present the Commissioner with a mmendatio .
Motion carried unanimously with Mr. Marino leaving the meeting.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the forthcoming Tax Sale, scheduled
for July 13, 1959, at 10:00 A.M., E.S.T. , be postponed for a period of sixty (60) days to September
