PETTI , Vli A;1ZA, COMMISSIONERS MONONGAHBLA PUBLISHING CO (a) Furnish without cost to the United States all lands, ea nts, and rights -of -fir ir necessary for the construction of the project; (b) Hold and save the United States free from damages due to the construction works including aslM"other things the occasional impoundment of flood waters daring major floods associated with the proposed deflection dike- (c) Maintain and operate all the Works after completion in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of the Array; (d) Bear the cost of mow highway bridges, street adjustments,, and utility changes required for the project; and (e) Prescribe and enforce regulations designed to prVrrent encroachments on the improved channel. THESE ASSURANCES are gxecuted pursuant to a resolution by the Board of Washington County Commissioners duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting held in the Washington County Courthouse. on .August 12, 1959.
