Motion by Mr. Cumnines, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that William Shannon, be appointed as a temporary draftsman in the Tax Assessment Office, this action to be retroactive to August 17, 1"9, Motion carried. Motion by MPS Cumdus, seconded by lr. Pettit, that James 0alessemdro, 304 S. Main Street, Washington, Pennsylvania, be appointed as assessor of Fourth Ward in Washington, P 1• vania, to fill the vacancy which was created by the resignation of Louis Johns. Motion carried, There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meting adjourned. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the bid of MDNONGAHMA PUBLISHING COMPANY, in the amount of $3,958,42, be accepted and that an additional sum of $279.92, bid on Item No. 6 be paid to the Monongahela Publishing Company provided that the sample as submitted by said Monongahela Publishing Company meets with the approval of the County Commissioners. Motion carried unanimously with Mr. Murdoch leaving the meeting. Notion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids for the furnishing and delivering of coal to the Courthouse and Jail for the 1959-1950 season. Bids to be received by the County Controller in his Office.in the Courthoume, tashington, Pennsylvania, until 11:OO am,, Daylight Saving Time, Wednesday, September 23, 1959, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the Washington County Commissioners. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Coins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following resolution be adopted to demolish and rase the O.U.A.M. Lodge Building situate in the Borough of A33amport, Washington County, Pennsylvania. BE IT RESOLVED, that by reason of notice from Fred Anderson, Secretary of the Borough of Allenport, Washington County, Pennsylvania, that the building formerly assessed to O.U.A.M. Lodge acid now held by the Washington County Tax Claim Bureau, Trustee for the taxing districts, bit raze* and. demolished. The building is in such a condition that it consitutes a fire hazard and alm a menace to health and life. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the application for County Aid from Liquid Fuels Tax Funds, as submitted by Bentleyville Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania,be approved in the amount of $2,000.00i contingent on approval by Department of Highways. This amount to be used for improvements in said Borough as outlined in their application which is on file in both the Office of the Chief Clerk and County* Controller. Motion carried unanimously.
