Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Commissioners make "Application For Assistance In Planning and Carrying Out Works of Improvement Wer the Water- shed Protection and Flood Prevention Act" (Public Law 566 - 83rd Congress) in preparing and carry- ing out plans for works of improvement for the"Chartierb Creek Watershed. This watershed is loca-,ed in Washington and Allegheny Counties, the size of the shed is 172,600 acres. Notion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bids were opened and read. September 22,. 1959 T0; Commissioners of Washington County Courthouse Washington, Pennsylvania In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller inviting proposals for furnishing and delivering coal to heat the Courthouse and County Jail at Washington, Pennsylvania,, and having examined the attached specifications and understanding the same, I (or We) submit the following bids; 7,40 per ton including delivery. $ 5,40 per ton without delivery.
