Motion by Mr.*Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the General Fund be reimbursed with the following payments from the Tax Assessment Bond Issue. JVoucher No. Account No. Date Amount 12043 105-A-al December 15, 1959 $ 5,216.75 Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Mr. T. Scott Pease, representative of the Washington County Artifical [Breeding Cooperative, was the only member present from the various associations of the Washing- ton County Soil Conservation. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Lee Adamson, R. D. 2, Avella, Pennsylvania, be re -appointed to serve as a director of the Washington County Soil Conservation. IThis appointment being a four (4) year term, commencing January 1, 1960. Motion carried unanimously with Mr. Pease leaving the meeting. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Francis E. Pettit, be re -appointed as the Commissioner Member of the Washington County Soil Conservation. This appointment being a one (1) year term, commencing January 1, 1960. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Motion by Mr. Cummins-, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that James R, Caruso, be appointed as a Deed Seacher in the Tax Assessment Office, replacing Edward Seesej this action to be retroactive to November 18, 1959. 1 I '1 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA FRANcIs E. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Rita Picinotti, be appointed as a Clerk in the Tax Assessment Office, replacing Cora Spencer, this ac tion to be retroactive to December 16, 1959. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Cottroller be authorizes to transfer from the Liquid Fuels Tax Fund to the General Fund $110,000.00, this being ?,apayment of three (3) temporary loans as follows: Date Vo. No. Amount October 1, 1959 10014 $50,000.00 November 1, 1959 11007 $40,000.00 December 1, 1959 12023 $10,000.00 Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $16.96 be made payable to Norman F. & Frances Corey, 150 Curry Hill Road, Canonsburg, Pennsyl- vania, due to an over payment of taxes for the year of 1957 and 1958, which was caused.by in- correct assessment. For the year 1957 and 1958, the assessment records show Norman F. & France& Corey assessed with a garage and two -room house assessed at $700.00, property being situate in North Strabane Township. This assessment first appeared on the records in the name of Corey in 1957 as a sale from Alfonso Pagano, the garage and two -room house was included in the transfer on the records, whereas only the six room house was deeded. Mr. & Mrs. Corey paid taxes on the assessment including these buildings for the year 1957 and 1958 and are now requesting a refund based on the assessment of $700.00 for the years as shown, in the amount of $16.96. In 1957, $8.46 was paid at discount and in 1958, $6.48 was paid at discount, total refund due $16.96. All receipts are on file in the Tax Assessment Office. The Tax Assessment Office, is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $16.96, payable to Norman F. & Frances Corey, 150 Curry Hill Road, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $12.11 be made payable to Ernest J. & Mary L. Ritacco, R. D. L, Mar -Rick Manor, Monongahela, Pennsylvania, due to an over payment of taxes, caused by a duplication of assessment records. Mr. Ritacco was assessed for a one-story brick house and unfinished garage assessed at $1,000.OG for the year of 1959 assessment being made in Carroll Township. The local tax assessor added this assessment to the records. Mr. Ritacco is assessed with property described as a one-story brick house and 0.331 acres of surface and the buildings in question are a duplication of this second assessment. Therefore, the refund is requested on the valuation of $1,000.00, the tax was paid at discount in the amount of $12.11, all receipts are on file in the Tax Assessment Office. The Tax Assessment Office, is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher in the amount of $12.11, payable to Ernest J. & Mary L. Ritacco, R. D. 1, Mar -Rick Manor, Monongahela, Pennsylvania. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr, Cummins, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of I $9.69 be made payable to John E. & Heidi A. Quinn, 696 Rolling Green Drive, Bethel Park, Penn- sylvania, due to over payment of tax, caused by an incorrect tax assessment, of property situate
