LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS 1 I BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County that the plans submitted by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways for the changing of State Highway Route 109- See. 6 in Morris and South Franklin Townships; Washington County; from Sta. 358/00 to Sta. 49411432 have been examined by the Commissioners and they agree that Washington County will not assume liability for any property damages resulting from the construction of the above named highway as contemplated by these plans, or any damages arising out of any changes or alteration of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of the highway, or any damages resulting to any property or holdings of any Public Utility Company; nor will the County assume any damages result ing to any coal or other minerals in and underlying the property affected by this improvement; but that Washington County will contribute the sun of forty-five hundred (,4500.00) Dollars towar+ the payment of property damages. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the me adjourned. Pettit, Lane and Mazza. The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a note for One Hundred Thousand (100,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by said Board, to -wit: t'VMREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred Thousand ( 100.000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1952, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and are to be levied and collected by the County during the year 1952; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Wash- ington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the Coun the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tem- porary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied and collected during the year 1952, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to re- pay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor, payable August 7, 1952, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one (1) per cent. per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which sa taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows: WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COMPANY, Washington, Pa ....................................... lOO,OOO.
