Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit and bane.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the Purchasing Agent be author-
ized to purchase for the County three hundred (300) Veterans' Bronze Red Brass Grave barkers.
Motion carried.
Notion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Anthony Marino, Chief Assessor,
F. Leo Wright, Engineer and Russell Marino, Real Estate Appraiser, be authorized to attend a two
(2) day Chief County Assessorts School at the University of Pittsburgh on May 22nd and 23rd.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a reed voucher in the amount of
$8.36 be made payable to Joseph Yablonski, Clarksville, Pa., for 1950 County Tax paid on property
assessed in the name of John Collins, Estate; 2 houses and lot assessed in Coal Center Borough.
This refund being made, due to the fact, that the tax in question was paid by Tax Claim Bureau
receipt #163, dated September 8, 1950 and again paid by Joseph Yablonski on April 18, 1951, tax
receipt #7256. Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare the said voucher for
the refund of this duplicate payment.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the Bard for the Assessment and
Revision of Taxes cancel the attached Minute No. 22 dated April 4, 1952 authorizing a refund in
favor of Metro & Helen Gaborech, R. D. #1.. Scenery Hill, Pa., in the amount of 19.86. This
request was made through Attorney William Porter who presented the tax receipt. The request is
withdrawn and the refund is cancelled because Mr. Gaborech, on April 19 came in personally to the
Treasurerts Office and was allowed credit in the amount of $19.86 on another property that he
owns. The voucher from the General Fund and the Institution District are hereby cancelled.
Motion carried, with Mr. Mazza entering the meeting.
Motion by Mr. Lame, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that F. Leo Wright, Engineer in the
Engineer's Office and Paul Pettit, Draftsman in the Engineer's Office, be transferred to the Tax
Assessment Office; this action being effective May 1, 1952.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the HUGGINS & COMPANY, Consulting
Actuaries and Insurance Accountants, be authorized to pri# Four Hundred (400) County Retirement
Plan Booklets for distribution to the County employees.
Motion carried.
