Pettit, Lane and Mazza. The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a note for One Hundred Thousand (100,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by said Board, to -wit: "WfIEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred Thousand (100,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 19523, and towibe.payhble out`of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and are to be levied and collected by the Couhty during the year 1952; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washing- ton, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tem- porary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied and collected during the year 1952, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor, payable August 7, 1952, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one (1) per cent. per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows: WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COMPANY, Washington, Pa ............................+......... 180,000.00a There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller for furnishing and delivery of a Tiro -door Standard Wayfarer Dodge with Heater, Defroster and Undercoated, with locks on both doors, I (or We) propose to furnish and deliver the 1952 Sedan as follows: Bid on Car $2027.00 Less Federal Tax 136.2,E Total Bid $3.890.75 A certified check in the sum of $200,00 is herewith enclosed. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the bid for a 1952 Two -Door Standard Wayfarer Dodge be awarded to SPESAK MOTORS., 226;Ches-a Sheet, Monongahela., Pa., for the amount of $1709.50; this bid being the lowest bid xeceived.
