Board of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit, Lane and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that John Kay Blaine be appointed, on
a trial basis, as a Draftsman in the Tax Assessment Office; this action: being effective August 1,
1952.
Motion unanimously carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Alice C. Gillian be appointed
Assessor in Speers Borough, filling the vacancy existing.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit, Lane and Mazza.
Motion duly made and seconded that Edward Karolski, 1312 Marelda Avenue, Donora,
Pa., be refunded $.91 on the 1951 Occupational Tax; said payment being a duplicate of a payment
made August 1, 1951, in the amount of .91 for 1951 Occupational Tax (paid at net). The Tax Claim
Bureau is authorized to prepare said voucher for the refund of this duplicate payment.
Motion carried.
