LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS at the Jail and the Court House for the years 1952-1953. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. THE FOREGOING NINUTE READ .AND APPROVED: October 30 195 ATTEST 4 .-� / Chief Clerk NO. 62 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., September 19, 1952 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. bane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Commissioners adopt the protest opposing the elimination of the passenger Trains #807 and #81Q from Pittsburgh, Allegheny County to West Brownsville, Washington County, and return; and that the County Solicitor, William H. Robinson, represent the Commissioners at a meeting to be held in the City County Building on September 29, 1952, protesting the abandonment of said Trains. Motion unanimously carried. )Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County of Washington appro- priate the sum not to exceed $500.00 to the American Legion Post #22, Charleroi, Pa., to defray the expenses of the Armistic Day Celebration to be held Tuesday, November ll, 1952. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be,euthor�- ized to advertise for bids for the placing of a Bituminous wearing Surface on the portions of East Bethlehem Township Roads #325 and ,#808 which were improved by Washington County in 1951, in order to protect the stone base already in place; said bids to be received in the Office of the County Controller, Court House, Washington, Pa., until Monday, October 6, 1952 at 11:00 a.m., EST, and opened immediately thereafter. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned.
