Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit and Lane.
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County
of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a note for j
One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loam, was presented, duly seconded
and adopted by said Board, to -wit:
"WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One
Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the
year 1953, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed
and are to be levied and collected by the County during the year 1953; now, therefore, -
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of
Washington, that for the'purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the
County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate
a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to
be levied and collected during the year 1953, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to
repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue
a note therefor, payable August 7, 1953s with interest from date of said note at the rate of
one (1) per cent, per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, whichl
said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and
issued as follows:
WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COMPANY, WASHINGTON, PA ......... ...........................$1000000100"

Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Minute Nos. 79, 80, 81, 81 A,
82, 83, 834 84, and 85 were read and approved.
