Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Registration Office in the

� Court House, be opened Friday evening March 27, 1953, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday
March 28, 1953 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 �.m, and from 7:00 p.m. to lOsOO p.m., to take registra-
tions and carry on the regular duties.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Emilio Alvarez, employee of the

Bridge Department, be given a six (6) day sick leave with pay, due to his prior service as an
I employee of the County Commissioners.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Nick Muncie be appointed as a
IPainter on a temporary basis; this action effective March 23, 1953•

Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that David H. Weiner, County Solici-
tor,, be granted a leave of absence as per his letter.
Gentlemen: f
In view of the fact that I am a candidate for Judge at the coming Primary, and
that I ,wi,ll be actively engaged in working for that nomination, I do- not think it fair to you
or to the taxpayers that I campaign on the CCounty time. For this reason I hereby respectfully
request a leave of absence from to-day and through May 19, 1953.
