Board of County Commissioners in special sessions those present being Messrs.
Pettits Lane and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Lane., seconded by Mr. Mazza., that a refund voucher in the amount
of $58.67 paid on August 1, 1952, be made payable to J. K* Lindley Est. c/o Albert Lindley.,
R. D. 2, Eighty Four, Pass on property situate in the Township of Somerset described as 150
acres surfaces houses barns garage, adjoining Boyd Folkner-Edgar. This refund being made.,
due to the fact that on August ls 1952, the amount of $58.67 was again paid due to a re-assess-
ment. Thereforej the Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare said voucher for the refund of
this duplicate payment.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lanes seconded by Mr. Mazza., that the County Controller be author-
ized to advertise for bids for furnishing and delivering Two (2) Standard All Steel Station II
Wagon with heaters defroster and undercoated either Ford, Plymouth or Chevrolet* Bids to be
made with and without trade-ins. Cars to be traded in are at the County Garage; said bids to
o
be received until 11:00 a.m., EST., Wednesday# April 22s 1953, and opened immediately thereafter
in the Office of the County Commissioners; a certified check in the amount of $500.00 must
accompany proposal of each bidder and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids, One gg
station wagon to be used by the Washington County Institution District., the other for the use
of the Washington County 'Commissioners*
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr* Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza., that the County Controller be author-
ized to advertise for bids for furnishing and delivering 2030 bronze grave markers. idth brass
rods. Must be delivered by May llp 1953, Said bids to be received until 11:00 a.m., EST.,
I Wednesdays April 22s 1953; and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Cox-
missioners; a certified check in the amount of $500*00 must accompany proposal of each bidder
and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that John Pendervillep Superintendent of the Juve-
i nile Detention Home., hereafter is to notify the Chief Probation Officer of the Juvenile Court
i when he has in his custody Wards who are non-residents of this County and Wards who are held
for other Governmental Agencies* The Chief Probation Officer hereafter is to charge $1.25 per
day for each and every such child, and he is hereby directed to collect from person or persons
or institutions., legally responsible for the cost of maintenance of each child unless otherwise
ordered by the Court. Monies so collected are to be handled in the same manner as other main-
tenance of County Wards is handled at the present time.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the board at this times the
meeting adjourned.
