Board of County Commissioners in regular session for the purpose of awarding
I bids for the delivery of 2030 bronze grave markers with brass rods. Those present at the
meeting were Messrs. Lane, Mazza and Deputy Controller Dentel.
4 In accordance with the aforemention advertisement action was taken upon the
bids which were opened on April 22, 1953•
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Lane, that Frank H. Detwiler be awarded
the bid to deliver 2030 bronze grave markers with brass rods; being the lowest bid received,
$3,100.00. Markers to be delivered as follows: 1000 markers by May 25, 1953 and 1030 markers
by June.
Motion carried.
Deputy Controller Dentel, excused from the meeting at this time.
Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Lane, that the. following Polling Places be
designated as follows: petition for said change having been duly presented to the Board prior
to ten day before the Election and notices of the contemplated change posted as required by law:

of a portion of the channel of Chartiers Creek in Canton Township and the City of Washington in
Washington County, Pennsylvania, that is shown by or provided for in the plans and specifications
prepared for the said improvement by the County Engineering Department and to furnish all labor;
materials and equipment required therefor; for and in consideration of compensation accordingto

850 feet below the City Bridge on Woodland Avenue.
In case this Proposal is accepted and the contract awarded to Charles C. Bissett,
I will execute your form of contract and bond's and further agrees that if awarded the contract,
I will commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of written notice to proceed and will
furnish the required plant and equipment to fully complete the work ready for use not later than
60 working days after date of receipt of notice to proceed.
As a guarantee that I will enter into such Contract and give bond as required, I
herewith enclose certified check payable to the Treasurer of Washington county, Pennsylvania,
