LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS NO. 113-A Lane and Mazza. Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa-, May 1, 1953 Board of County Commissioners in regular sessions, those present being Messrs. The following Resolution of the Board of 'L'ounty Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for Thirty Five Thousand (635,000,00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopt- ed by the said Board, to -wit: "WHLREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Thirty Five Thousand Dollars for the purpose of completing the purchase of theHeer Property as authori- zed by the Court of Quarter Sessions at #190 February Term, 1953, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which will be assessed and are to be levied and collected by the County during the year 1954; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Wash- ington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of the balance due on account of said purchase by the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied and collected during the year 1954, and so much of said ' taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor, payable August 7, 1954, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one (1) per cent, per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Common- wealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the 'County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows: WASHINGTON UNION TRUST +COMPANY, WASHINGTON, PA......................................35,000.00" I hereby certify that the above Resolution was duly adopted at a regular meet- t ing of'•the Board of County Commissioners -May 1, 1953- (Seal) Attest; Joseph Di Filippo Chief Clerk There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. I Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Beall & Parkins, Architects be retained to draw up plans and specifications for the renovation of the Old Detention Home and the new building acquired from the Washington Plumbing and Heating Company. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza,, that William Crockett, employee in I fl the Sealer of Weights and Measures Department, be placed back on the payroll being that his leave -of -absence has expired, this action effective May 1, 1953-
