LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS Motion carried. Motion by Mr• Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Genesio L. Carlini, be appointed as a Clerk in the Tax Claim Bureau, this action retroactive to May 16, 1953. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meet- ing adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED. June 5, ATT - pZ2� hief Clerk N0. 117 office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., June 2, 1953 Board of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Whereas, in appearing that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, has agreed to con- tribute the sum of $10,000.00 towards the Chartiers Creek Stream Clearance under the Act of June 5, 1947 P. L. 422; And in appearing that the Contractor having agreed thereto, And whereas it appears that said contribution is condition upon the 4'onnwnwealth of Pennsylvania letting the contract for said stream clearance, Now on motion duly made and seconded, the award for the Chartiers Creek Stream Clearance Contract, heretofore made to Charles C. Bissett under date of May 289 1953 is hereby rescinded and set aside. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Treasurer be, and is hereby directed to cancel the Treasurer's Tax Sale of January 225, 1940 and April 24, 1940 for 1928, 19304931 and 1932 County, School and Road Taxes, plus sale costs, for the property assessed to H. E. Hollen (Dorothy E. Hollen) and described as House and Lot, McGovern, situate 1 in Chartiers Township, Washington County Pennsylvania; inasmuch as, the said property was sold at a Sheriff's Sale, No. 40, May Term, 1936 E. D., Citizen's Trust Compaxor versus Fannie Hollen. Sufficient monies were bid to cover all taxes, including 1936a and therefore, the County Treas- urer's Tax Sale for the years 1928 to 1932 were divested by said Sheriff's Sale. The Tax Claim Bureau and the Assessment Office and the Office of the Prothonotary, t are hereby directed to mark their records accordingly. Motion carried.
