Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit and Lane.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be and is authorised to
cancel the Treasurer's Tax Sale of January 23, 1940, for the 1927, 1928, 1929, County, School
and Road taxes plus sale costs for the property assessed to Irma Toth and described as frame
house and lot 19-20 North Frederickto-wn situate in East Bethlehem Township, it appearing that,
the assessment of this frame house and two lots to Irma Toth was in error as Irma Toth never
had title to the said lots.
It further appears that the Fredericktown Real Estate Company paid the taxes for
the years in question and were later paid by the record owner.
The Tax Claim Bureau, the Assessment Office, and the Office of the Prothontary
are hereby directed to mark their records accordingly.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded, that a refund voucher in the amount of $15.47 paid
on August 1, 1953 be made payable to First Federal Savings & Loan Association, on property situ-
ate in Centerville Borou,h described as Brick house, lot 5 Rankin FArm» This refund being made,
due to the fact, that on July 27, 1953, the same amount of $15.47 was paid for the 1953 County
Tax by Alfred & Zella Cole. Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau is authorized,to prepare the said
voucher for the refund of this duplicate payment.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded, that a refund voucher in the amount of $2.00 paid

on July 1, 1953, be made payable to Mike & Lottie Hauncher, Vestaburg, Pa. This refund is being 1
made, due to the fact, that on July 1, 1953, $2.36 Occupation tau was paid and again on July 1,
1953 a duplicate occupation tax amounting to $2.10 was paid, ($2.36 is the correct occupation.)
Therefore, the Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare said voucher for the refund of the
duplicate payment.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County Controller be author-
ized to advertise for bids for insurance -to cover all employees of various offices in the Court
House and Washington County Institution for dishonesty covering,fraud, forgery, theft, misap-
propriation, robbery inside premises and robbery outside premises; which is in accordance with
House Bill No. 789 Printers No. 445 Act No. 123 approved by Governer Fine,July 17, 1953- such
bids to be received by the County Controller in his Office in the Court House, Washington, Pa.,
until 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 1953, and opened immediately thereafter, in the Office
of the Washington' County Commissioners.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the i
adjourned.
