HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 3-S-02 - 7-18-2002 - SALARY- Minute No. 3-S-02 MINUTE BOOK WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Washington County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 18, 2002 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners John P. Bevec, Diana L. Irey and J. Bracken Burns, Sr. and Controller Mike Namie. Also being present: Judge Richard DiSalle, Solicitor; Cathi Kresh, Administrator/Chief Clerk; Janice Urban and Carrie Roup, Human Resources; Judge Thomas Gladden; Chris Brady, Court Administrator; Barbara Gibbs, Clerk of Courts; Judith Fisher and Richard Zimmerman, Jury Commissioners; Linda Metz, Observer -Reporter; Stacey Wolford, Valley Independent; Chris Haines, Herald Standard; and Jim Jefferson, WJPA. Chairman Bevec called the meeting to order at approximately 11:30 a.m. and noted that an Executive Session was held on July 9" and 171h, 2002 to discuss personnel matters. Chairman Bevec entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 2-S-02 dated April 18, 2002. Moved by Mrs. Irey, to approve Minute No. 2-S-02 as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Namie — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes; Mrs. Irey — Yes; Mr. Bevec — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS Ms. Gibbs of the Clerk of Courts thanked the Board for their approval to apply for a non -match grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Society in the amount of $4,974.00 to microfilm 1780 thru 1834 road and criminal records. NEW BUSINESS Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Burns, to approve the 2002 wages on the respective departmental salary schedule which reflects the arbitration award of wage increases for bargaining unit positions within the Deputy Sheriffs Association of Washington County Local 900, effective January 1, 2002. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Namie - Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes; Mrs. Irey - Yes; Mr. Bevec -Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chairman Bevec noted for the record it is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2002 salary schedules may be corrected administratively by Human Resources. COURTS Moved by Judge Gladden, seconded by Mrs. Irey, ratifying the foregoing Memorandums of Understanding for the Courts.
