HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 3-S-03 - 6-19-2003 - SALARY258 WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Minute No. 3-S-03 Washington County Commissioners Washington, Pa., June 19, 2003 The Washington County Salary Board met in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Diana L. Irey and J. Bracken Burns, Sr. and President Judge David Gilmore. Absent being: Commissioner John P. Bevec and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Richard DiSalle, Solicitor; Cathi Kresh, Administrator/Chief Clerk; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Michelle Miller Kotula and Carrie Taylor, Human Resources; Randy Vankirk, Deputy Controller; Linda Metz, Observer -Reporter; and Jim Jefferson, WJPA. Vice Chair Irey called the meeting to order at approximately 10:50 a.m. and noted that an Executive Session was held on June 11, 2003 to discuss personnel matters. Vice Chair Irey entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 2-S-03 dated March 20, 2003. Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mr. Vankirk, approving Minute No. 2-S-03 as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Vankirk — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes; Mrs. Irey — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS None APPROVAL OF 2003 WAGES Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mr. Vankirk, to approve the 2003 wages on the respective departmental salary schedule which reflects the arbitration award of wage increases for bargaining unit positions within Teamsters Local 249, effective January 1, 2003. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Vankirk — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes; Mrs. Irey — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Vice Chair Irey noted for the record it is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2003 salary schedules may be corrected administratively by Human Resources. ELECTED OFFICIALS COURTS RECORDS MANAGEMENT Records Management Coordinator, rate $28,500.00, -create one full time position, eff. 7/1/03 Moved by Judge Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the creation of a full time position as per above. Roll call vote taken: Judge Gilmore — Yes; Mr. Vankirk — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes; Mrs. Irey — Yes. Roll call vote taken: Judge Gilmore — Yes; Mr. Vankirk — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes; Mrs. Irey — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Site Based Monitor, rate $10.00, create three to five per diem positions. Moved by judge Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Vankirk, approving the creation of per diem positions as per above. HEALTH CENTER- DIETARY Dietetic Technician, rate $11.62/hr., $24,169.96 annual, rate adjustment to $14.00/hr., $29,120.00 annual, eff. 7/1/03 Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mr. Vankirk, approving the foregoing rate adjustment.
