Bracken Burns, Sr. and Diana L. Irey; and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Chris Weller, Court Administrator; Francis King, Treasurer; Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Joann Metz, Commissioner's Office; Roger Metcalfe, Finance Director; Michelle Miller Kotula and Carrie Taylor; Human Resources; Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; and Harry Sabatasse, interested citizen. Co -Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at approximately 10:50 a.m. Co -Chairman Burns entertained a motion to approve Minute Nos. 4-S-04 dated September 16, 2004. Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving Minute Nos. 4-S-04 as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Namie — Yes; Mrs. Irey — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS None RATIFICATION OF MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING Chris Weller, Court Administrator, stated she was present on behalf of President Judge O'Dell Seneca. Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving the foregoing memorandums of understanding. TUDGE MASCARA Court Reporter, rate 33,193.29, create one FT position, eff.10/4/04 Roll call vote taken: Ms. Weller — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes; Mrs. Irey — Yes; Mr. Maggi - Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. VOTERS REGISTRATION Clerk I, create one temp. position, rate 11.583/hour, eff. 9/27/04 thm 10/29/04 Suzanne Morgan, Clerk I, rate 11.583, extends employment from 10/29/04 to 11/1/04. Her employment costs have been included in the HAVA Grant of $10,000 approved at the 10/7/04 BOC Meeting. CONTROLLER Report Analyst, Grade 10, 90%, rate 12.863/hour, abolish the FT position, eff.1/3/05 Clerk II, Grade 3, 90%, rate 11.823/hour, create one FT position, eff. 1/3/05 Co -Chairman Burns publicly thanked Mr. Namie for taking this action to abolish a position and create one at a lower rate during this tight fiscal time of the year. It was noted by Mr. Namie this action would net a savings of $12,483.00 for 2005. Moved by Mr. Maggi, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the foregoing Memorandum of Understandings. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Namie Yes; Mrs. Irey — vote "Yes" to abolish the position and "No" to the creation of a position. Mr. Maggi — Yes;, Mr. Burns — Yes. Motion carried. Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes. Motion carried. HUMAN SERVICES Tim Kimmel, Human Services Director, 56,000.00 to 65,000.00, increase in annual salary, eff. 12/16/04 due to add'l duties. The overall savings for the County would be $23,500.00 plus benefits. Approximately 70% of the increase would be absorbed by Child Care Information Services or other Human Services funding.
