HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 3-S-05 - 6-9-2005 - SALARY345 SALARY BOARD MINUTE BOOK WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Minute No. 3-S-05 Washington County Commissioners Washington, Pa., June 9, 2005 The Washington County Salary Board met in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken Burns and Diana L. Irey, and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: President Judge Debbie O'Dell Seneca, Phyllis Matheny, Prothonotary; Mary Lynn Drewitz; Solicitor, Mary E. Helicke, Chief Clerk; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Janice Urban and Carrie Taylor, Human Resources; Harry Sabatasse and Carl Maggi, interested citizens. Co -Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at approximately 10:55 a.m. Co -Chairman Burns entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 2-S-05 dated March 10, 2005. Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving Minute No. 2-S-05 as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Namie - Yes; Mrs. Irey - Yes; Mr. Maggi - Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS Harry Sabatasse, of Burgettstown, questioned when the Board would take action to rescind the elected officials pay raises. He stated the taxpayers of Washington County can not afford these increases. RATIFICATION OF MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING COURTS President Judge O'Dell Seneca was present to take action on the following court -related Memorandums of Understandings. COURT ADMINISTRATOR Summer employee, create two positions, rate 5.75, eff. 6-6-05 until 8-19-05 DOMESTIC RELATIONS Summer employee, create one position, rate 5.75, eff. 6-6-05 until 8-19-05 NOTE: Commissioner Irey stated for the record, as in the past, that her "Yes" votes today are to ratify her earlier position of the executed Memorandum of Understandings. Moved by Judge O'Dell Seneca, seconded by Mrs. Irey, approving the foregoing Memorandum of Understandings. Roll call vote taken: Judge O'Dell Seneca - Yes; Mr. Namie - Yes; Mrs. Irey - Yes; Mr. Maggi - Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. ADULT PROBATION Administrative Assistant, rate 27,000.00, create one FT salaried position, eff. 7-1-05. This position is grant funded and 75% of the position will be paid with PCCD funds.
