Minute No. 5-S-05
Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., December 8, 2005
The Washington County Salary Board met in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office
Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi,
Bracken Burns and Diana L. Irey; and Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Scott Fergus, Director of
Administration; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Michelle
Miller Kotula and Carrie Taylor; Human Resources; Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; Harry
Sabatasse and John Adams, interested citizen.
Co -Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at approximately 11:00 a.m.
Co -Chairman Burns entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 4-S-05 dated September 8, 2005.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving Minute Nos. 4-S-05 as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Namie — Yes; Mrs. Irey — Yes;
Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.

RATIFICATION OF MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING
4114 — CHIEF CLERK
Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant,116.21/daily to 124.12/daily, increase salary by 7% while she is replacing
Joanne Metz, eff. 7/18/05 to 9/12/05 and will be retroactive to 7/18/05. This will bring her daily rate to the same
rate paid to Ms. Metz.
4331— AIRPORT
Robert Harms, Summer employee, rate 5.75/hour, extend summer employment through 9/30/05
41785 — PARKS
Sherri Taddeo, Recreation Program Coordinator, extend the per diem status of the position through 10/31/05
4136- TAX REVENUE
Scott Artis, Office Operations Asst., rate 24,000/annual, to $24,900/annual, increase salary by $900.00 retroactive
to 7/6/05. Has successfully completed the Certified Pennsylvania Evaluation and is a CPE.
41421— PURCHASING
Purchasing Card Administrative/Buyer, rate $15.00/hour; create one (1) Temp. position to work three weeks
while A. Elyanoff is receiving pay for vacation days before her unpaid FMLA begins. The position will be
eliminated after three weeks and the employee will go into A. ElyanofPs position as a Purchasing Card
Administrator/Buyer on a temporary basis until she returns.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving the foregoing memorandum of understanding.

There being no further business, Co -Chairman Maggi declared the meeting adjourned at 11:05 a.m.
