Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., December 7, 2006
The Washington County Salary Board met in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office
Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken
Burns and Diana L. Irey; Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Tim
McCullough, Janice Urban and Carrie Taylor, Human Resources; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Linda Belcher,
Administrative Assistant; Harry Sabatasse, Harlan Shober and Carl Maggi, interested citizens; Barbara Miller, Observer -
Reporter and Jim Jefferson, WJPA.
Co -Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at approximately 10:45a.m.
Co -Chairman Maggi entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 4-S-06 dated September 7, 2006.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. 4-S-06 as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Namie — Yes; Mrs. Irey — Yes;
Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
None
NEW BUSINESS
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving the wages which reflect the negotiated wage increases
for bargaining unit positions as negotiated with Service Employees International Union Local 668/1199P (SEIU). These
wage rates are effective December 1, 2006.

Mr. Maggi - Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving the wages which reflect the negotiated wage increases

Secretary I, 23,765.56, to Maintenance Coordinator, 27,765.56, reclassify the FT position to Maintenance
Coordinator with an increase in annual salary, eff. 10/1/06

Barry Clark, Info Tech. Technician, to Telecommunications Mgr./Application Trustee,132.6125/day, create one
temp. position, effective to 10/15/06. This position is only for the time period T. Bodes is receiving pay for
donated sick days before his unpaid leave begins. B. Clark will be pilling the position. The position will be
eliminated once T. Bodes begins his unpaid leave and B. Clark will go into T. Bodes position on a temp. basis
until he returns.

Court Reporter, provide with a longevity increase in the amount of 500.00 on their five-year anniversary date
retroactive to 1/1/06. After twenty year anniversary date, employee will no longer receive the longevity increase.
ADULT PROBATION
Confidential Secretary, 104.87/day, approve creation of one temp. position, eff. 11/20/06 thru 11/21/06 for
training purposes.

Co -Chairman Burns stated for the record items noted during 2006 were incorporated into the Salary Book. It is
the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2006 salary schedule book may be corrected
administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Co -Chairman Burns declared the meeting adjourned at 10:50 a.m.
