Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., June 7, 2007
The Washington County Salary Board met in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office
Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken
Burns and Diana L. Irey; Deputy Controller Randy Vankirk. Also being present: Scott Fergus, Director of
Administration; Tim McCullough, Director of Human Resources; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk;
Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; John Adams, interested citizen; Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter and Jim
Jefferson, WJPA.
Co -Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at approximately 10:45a.m.
Co -Chairman Maggi entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 5-S-07 dated May 3, 2007.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving Minute No. 5-S-07 as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Vankirk — Yes; Mrs. Irey — Yes;
Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
John Adams, of Avella, stated elected officials should not receive a 3% raise.

Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving the following items as listed for each department.

Motion carried unanimously.
AGING

EEO and Benefits Specialist to Employee Wellness and Benefits Administrator, reclassify the FT position, eff.

MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING — APRIL 5 THRU MAY 2.2007
Moved by Mr. Maggi, seconded by Mrs. Irey, approving the following memorandums of understanding as list for
each department.

Co -Chairman Burns stated for the record items noted during 2007 were incorporated into the Salary Book. It is
the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2007 salary schedule book may be corrected
administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Co -Chairman Burns declared the meeting recessed at 10:50 a.m.
