SALARY BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., July 17, 2008
The Washington County Salary Board met in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office
Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken
Burns and Diana L. Irey; Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Scott Fergus,
Director of Administration; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Chris Weller, Court
Administrator; Tim McCullough, Director of Human Resources; John Adams, interested citizen; Barbara Miller,
Observer -Reporter and Tony DePalmo, WJPA.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:10 a.m.
Chairman Maggi entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 6-S-08 dated June 5, 2008.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving Minute No. 6-S-08 as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mrs. Irey — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes;
Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
John Adams, of Avella, commented on the matter of the elected officials pay raises.
FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
Chris Weller, Court Administrator, was present for President Judge O'Dell Seneca, who was attending the
Pennsylvania State Trial Judges' Conference in Hershey.
DOMESTIC RELATIONS
Support Master, Change the status of the position from quasi-judicial to FT with benefits, eff. 8/4/08
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving the foregoing items for Domestic Relations.

Officer Operations Suprv., 31,500.00, create one position, eff. 7/17/08
Erik Sheldon, Office Operations Suprv., 28,377.00 to 30,000, rate adjustment of $1,623.00, eff. 7/17/08
Bradley Boni, Office Operations Suprv., 24,801.00 to 30,000.00, rate adjustment of $5,199.00, eff. 7/17/08

David Painter, Accountant I, 37,000.00, increase to 40,000.00, increase in annual salary, eff. 5/5/08

Chairman Maggi stated for the record items noted during 2008 were incorporated into the Salary Book. It is
the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2008 salary schedule book may be corrected
administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately 11:20 a.m.
