Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken
Burns and Diana L. Irey; Controller Michael Namie. Also being present: Mary Lynn Drewitz, Solicitor; Scott Fergus,
Director of Administration; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Chris Weller, Court
Administrator; Steve Toprani, District Attorney; Richard Zimmerman, Jury Commissioner; Carrie Taylor, Human
Resources; John Adams, interested citizen; and Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:35 a.m.
Chairman Maggi entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 9-S-08 dated September 4, 2008.
Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Ms. Irey, approving Minute No. 9-S-08 as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Ms. Irey — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes;
Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
John Adams, of Avella, stated that elected officials should not receive a 3% raise.
RATIFY MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING — September 4' through October 1, 2008
Chris Weller, on behalf of President Judge O'Dell Seneca, presented the following items for the Board's
consideration:
JUVENILE PROBATION
Kendra Young and Tiffany Levato, Senior Site Based Monitor,12.00/hour, increase to 12.36/hour, provide a 3%
increase in hourly salary, eff. 9/4/08
Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Ms. Irey, approving the foregoing personnel items.

DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Legal Secretary, abolish one vacant FT position, eff. 9/8/08
Paralegal, Grade 10, Step Base,16.218/hour, create one FT position to work 35 hours per week, eff. 9/8/08
Moved by Mr. Toprani, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the foregoing personnel items for the District
Attorney.

Chairman Maggi stated for the record items noted during 2008 were incorporated into the Salary Book. It is
the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2008 salary schedule book may be corrected
administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately 10:40a.m.
