HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 2-S-09 - 2-5-2009 - SALARY (2)S/5l MINUTE ■ ■ SALARY BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Minute No. 2-S-09 Washington County Commissioners Washington, PA, February 5, 2009 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken Burns and Diana L. Irey; Controller Mike Namie; Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Chuck Nicholls and David Carroll, Human Resources; Barbara Gibbs, Clerk of Courts; Debbie Bardella, Recorder of Deeds; John Adams, interested citizen; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; and Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter. Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:05 a.m. Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving Minute No. 1-S-09 dated January 5, 20098 as written. Roll call vote taken: Ms. Irey — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS: John Adams, of Avella, questioned if the Board and elected officials were going to keep their 3% raises, He stated the economy is in a bad way and that elected officials should give up their pay increases. FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERTION CLERK OF COURTS Clerk Typist II, pay grade 4, 90%-14.011/hour, create one temp. PT position to work up to three days per week, eff. 2/5/09 thm 8/5/09. The position will be funded by the Clerk of Courts' Court Automation fund. Moved by Ms. Gibbs, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the personnel item for the Clerk of Courts as per above. Roll call vote taken: Ms. Gibbs — Yes; Ms. Irey - Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. REMAINING ITEMS FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION EMERGENCY TELEPHONE (9-1-1) Asst. Operations Manager, 34,886.34, abolish one vacant FT salaried position, eff. 2/5/09 Public Safety Systems Support Engineer, 34,886.34, create one FT salaried position, eff. 2/5/09 CHILDREN AND YOUTH SERVICES Program Specialist I, 56,804.46, create one FT salaried position, eff. 2/5/09 Jackie Forte, Fiscal Operations Director II to Fiscal Officer III, reclassify the FT salaried position with no change in annual salary, eff. 2/5/09 Caseworker I, abolish one FT union position, eff. 2/5/09 C E MINUTE SALARY BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA HEATH CENTER — ADMINISTRATION — NURSING Scheduling Coordinator, 31,896.80 to 32,574.88, increase in annual salary, eff. 2/5/09 for the vacant position Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Ms. Irey, approving the foregoing personnel items as listed above. Roll call vote taken: Ms. Irey - Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously.
