HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 3-S-09 - 3-5-2009 - SALARY5/6 SALARY BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Minute No. 3-S-09 Washington County Commissioners Washington, PA, March 5, 2009 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken Burns and Diana L. Irey; Controller Mike Namie; Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Chuck Nicholls, Human Resources; Carl Maggi and John Adams, interested citizen; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; and Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter. Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:05 a.m. Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving Minute No. 2-S-09 dated February 5, 2009 as written. Roll call vote taken: Ms. Irey — Yes; Mr. Burns — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS: John Adams, of Avella, questioned if the Board and elected officials were going to keep their 3% raises. FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERTION CHILDREN AND YOUTH Program Specialist I, 52,167.34, create one FT salaried position, eff. 3/5/09 MENTAL HEALTH/MENTAL RETARDATION Fiscal Technician, 32,300.00, create one FT salaried position, eff. 3/5/09. The position will be funded by Mental Retardation Waiver funds. Temp. employee,15.12/hour, create one Temp. position not to exceed 10,000.00, eff. 3/5/09 thm 5/29/09 to work on s special project. The position will be funded by the Recorder of Deeds Record Improvement Fund. Moved by Ms. Irey, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the foregoing personnel items for the offices listed. Roll call vote taken: Ms. Irey - Yes; Mr. Burns - Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes. Motion carried unanimously.
