PALUSO, COMMISSIONERS 65 1 Minute No. 4-S-89 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., March 23, 1989 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, at approximately 11:25 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 1989, with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso and Controller Beharry. Also being present; Judge Gilmore; Chief Clerk Dallatore; Margaret Pennline, Personnel Director; Janice Urban, Assistant to the Personnel Director; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; and Dr. Barry Parks, Washington County Health Center Administrator. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman Mascara noted that approval of Minute No. 1-S-89 would be held in abeyance. Chairman Mascara entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 3-S-89 dated March 9, 1989. Moved by Ms. Beharry, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving Minute No. 3-5-89 dated March 9, 1989, as written. Roll call vote taken: Ms. Beharry - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes;; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. 7-3101 - DOMESTI Moved by Judge Gilmore, seconded by Ms. Beharry, approving the following: CREATE three (3) slots of Clerk Typist I, Grade 2, (80$) Rate 5.602, 364.13, 9467.38 CREATE contracted position of Attorney, $100.00 per case, upper limit $10,000.00 CREATE slot of Clerk Typist II, Grade 4, (80%) Rate 5.826, 378.69, 9845.94; after bidding procedure is completed, the remaining (or vacated) position will be abolished. Remarks; Judge Gilmore explained that the additional clerical positions are needed due to increases in the number of petitions filed, hearings scheduled, collections, etc. He noted that the attorney position is required in order to be in compliance with the State's Title IV-D Plan whereby the County must provide legal services, at a minimum, to both AFDC and non -AFDC plaintiffs in URESA actions and paternity complaints.
