HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 1-S-90 (CONTINUED) - 4-12-1990 - SALARY48 MINUTE BOOK SALARY BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Minute No. 1-5-90 (continued) Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., April 12, 1990 The Washington County Salary Board Reorganization Meeting reconvened in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 1990, with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso and Controller Belcastro. Elected Officials present were: Judge Gladden; John Yoney, Treasurer; Olga Woodward, Recorder of Deeds; Farrell Jackson, Coroner; Barbara Gibbs, Clerk of Courts; Bob Franks, Prothonotary; and James Fazzoni, Sheriff. Others present included: Gerry Churney, Deputy Register of Wills; Chief Clerk Dallatore; Chris Brady, Court Administrator's Office; Margaret Pennline and Janice Urban, Personnel Office; Kathy Emery, Assistant Solicitor; Francis Pettit and Gary Gilman, Executive Assistants; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Dave Suski, JTPA Director; Linda Ritzer, Observer -Reporter; and Pete Skirchak, Herald Standard. Approval of Minutes Moved by Mr Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving Minute Nos. 1-5-90 dated January 2, 1990, 2-5-90 dated February 8, 1990 and 3-5-90 dated February 22, 1990, as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Belcastro - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chairman Mascara noted that the primary purpose of this reconvened meeting was to act on negotiated wage increases for SEIU union and non -union hourly employees, which represented a $.40/hour increase for calendar year 1990. Other provisions included in the labor agreement with SEIU are as follows: a. $12.00 hourly rate for incumbent R.N.'s and new hires b. Seven (7) hours a day for Aging Services Caseworkers C. Create Caseworker II @ Pay Grade 10 Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving and ratifying the labor agreement with Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 585, for the period of January 1, 1990 through December 31, 1992. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Belcastro - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously.
