HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 1-S-91 - 1-7-1991 - SALARYMINUTE BOOK SALARY BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA 133 C] J n Minute No. i-S-91 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., January 7, 1991 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 1991, for the purpose of reorganization, with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso and Controller Belcastro. Elected Officials present were: Judge Gladden; Farrell Jackson, Coroner; Barbara Gibbs, Clerk of Courts; John Pettit, District Attorney; Kathleen Flynn Reda, Register of Wills; Olga Woodward, Recorder of Deeds; and James Fazzoni, Sheriff. Others present included: Phyllis Matheny, Deputy Prothonotary; Chief Clerk Dallatore; Chris Brady, Acting Court Administrator; Margaret Pennline and Janice Urban, Personnel Office; Mel Bassi, Solicitor; John Liekar, Public Defender; Marlene Dranzo, Deputy Clerk of Courts; Administrative Assistant Davis; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Dave Suski, JTPA Director; Bill Prentice of Property and Supplies; Duane Kavka, Director of Human Services; and Jon Stevens, Observer - Reporter. Approval of Minutes Chairman Mascara entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 6-5-90 dated October 11, 1990 and Minute No. 7-5-90 dated November 8, 1990. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving Minute No. 6-5-90 dated October 11, 1990 and Minute No. 7-5-90 dated November 8, 1990, as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Belcastro - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Chairman Mascara noted that the salaries listed on the respective departmental salary schedules reflect the negotiated wage increases for union and non -union hourly employees ($.30 per hour increase) and a 3% increase for salaried employees, with a few exceptions as noted. COURTS Moved by Judge Gladden, seconded by Mr. Paluso, to retain all of the following employees, as listed under each department, at the classifications and salaries as contained in the salary schedule book; and that any salaried employee hired during the year 1990 will have his/her raise applied on his/her anniversary date in 1991 on a pro -rated basis, effective on his/her anniversary date. Roll call vote taken: Judge Gladden - Yes; Mr. Belcastro - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes.
