Home My WebLink AboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - 6-S-91 - 6-27-1991 - SALARY204 MINUTE BOOK SALARY BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Minute No. 6-5-91 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., June 27, 1991 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 1991, with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso and Controller Belcastro. Also being present: Judge Gladden; Chief Clerk Dallatore; Chris Brady, Acting Court Administrator; Kathy Emery, Assistant County Solicitor/Acting Personnel Director; Janice Urban, Personnel Office; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Jim Jefferson and Nicole DiNardo, WJPA; Barbara Loeper, WKEG; Linda Ritzer, Observer -Reporter; and Donald F. Herrington of Shearson Lehman Brothers. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman Mascara entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 5-S-91 dated June 6, 1991. Moved by Mr. Belcastro, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, that Minute No. 5-5-91 dated June 6, 1991, be approved as written. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Belcastro - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. 4181-201 -_COURT ADMINISTRATOR Moved by Judge Gladden, seconded by Mr. Belcastro, approving the continuation of Christine Brady as Acting Court Administrator, at the same terms as already set, for an additional six-month period or until further Order of the Court. COURTS Roll call vote taken: Judge Gladden - Yes; Mr. Belcastro - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - No; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried. Moved by Judge Gladden, seconded by Mr. Belcastro, approving the following: CREATE position of Senior Judge's Secretary, Grade 10, Step 9, Rate 11.176, 726.44, 18887.44, effective immediately (NOTE: Attorney Clyde Tempest was confirmed by the State Senate on June 26, 1991, to fill the Court vacancy created by the mandatory retirement of Judge Rodgers, who has been assigned to Senior Judge status.) Remarks; Commissioner Petrosky questioned Judge Gladden as to whether or not it would be more prudent to create a part-time secretarial position as opposed to a full-time position in order to better determine whether the responsibilities would dictate a full-time position. Judge Gladden stated that in a real sense Judge Rodgers becomes the County's sixth Judge, and that he intends to ask Judge Rodgers for MINUTE BOOK 205 SALARY BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA his services on almost a full-time basis. He explained that the Senior Judge's Secretary will also be assigned duties for the Court Administrator's Office and Jury Commissioners. More discussion followed. Motion carried. 4411-403 - AGING SERVICES Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Belcastro, to continue the part- time position of Cook funded through HSDF, providing funding is available. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Belcastro - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously.
